Pairs Matchplay Rules & Conditions

Fees – No entry fee.

 

Format - Pairs Matchplay using 90% of full course handicap allowance

 

Example;

Player A – Full Course Handicap is 10 – 90% allowance handicap is 9

Player B – Full Course Handicap is 18 – 90% allowance handicap is 16

Player C – Full Course Handicap is 27 – 90% allowance handicap is 24

Player D – Full Course Handicap is 39 – 90% allowance handicap is 35

 

Player A would play off zero (0) strokes, player B would receive 7 strokes, player C would receive 15 strokes and player D would receive 26 strokes Men will play from the Blue tees. Ladies will play from the Red tees. 90% course handicap allowance will be calculated and applied to all players in the group relative to the tees they are playing from. Men’s handicaps are calculated from the Blue tees. Ladies handicaps are calculated from the Red tees.

 

Teams – Pairs can be made up as all Male, all Female or a mixed group (male & female)

 

Ties – In the event of a tie after 18 holes, players must proceed to extra holes starting at the 1st until the winner is decided.

 

Play by dates – If a date between each pair cannot be reached by the deadline date given on the draw sheet, please inform the Tournament Committee (David Williamson) and a coin toss will proceed. It is both pairs responsibility to get the match played in time. No extensions of the deadline will take place.

 

Caddies – Caddies are not permitted at any stage during the competition.

 

Condition of Play – This event will be played in accordance with the Official Rules of Golf approved by the R&A governing body and follow the Local Rules of Montgomerie Golf Club Dubai.

Registration – Registration can only be made by signing up on Golf Genius, or by emailing David – dwilliamson@montgomeriegolfclubdubai.com. No other forms of registration will be permitted.

Closing Date – The closing date to register for all Matchplay competitions will be Sunday 24th January 2021 at 5pm.

 

Draw – The draw will be published on Monday 25th January 2021 at 5pm and will be sent out with updates each Sunday.
